They are the tools that push back against hate and fear, build community and allow us to do the work that is ours to do. We will use the enneagram to name feelings, uncover biases and develop ways to take action. Find joy, hope and fellowship in a casual, intimate setting. Prior knowledge of the enneagram is helpful, but not required. Cost $45

Fostering Healthy Communication and Conflict With the Enneagram
This online course will use the enneagram to examine patterns of interpersonal behavior in our churches and help us find effective, grace-filled ways to address them. Church leaders will learn to identify their own communication and conflict styles, see the impact those styles have on others, and expand their skills in these areas. This class builds on the concepts of “Using the Enneagram to Create Healthy Church Cultures.” Participants should come with a specific problem to discuss and work on during the class. People who have not taken “Healthy Church Cultures” but are familiar with the enneagram and know their type are asked to contact the instructor before registering at babeaty@gmail.com.
In addition to virtual interactions, 1 optional Zoom meeting will be held on Friday, February 28 at 3 pm Central time. The meeting will be recorded.
This course is eligible for 1.0 CEU.

Spiritual Practices for Election Season and Beyond
Sundays October 6, 13 & 20 | 11:30 am - 1:00 pm.
Are you exhausted? Overwhelmed? Fearful? Angry? Are you sometimes tempted to just check out?
For years now we have been bombarded with bad news, crisis and outrage. It’s disorienting and draining. We have a long way to go before election day and it probably doesn’t end there, no matter the outcome of the election. We have a lot of healing to do and repairs to make. Are you ready for the long haul?
Spiritual practices (for a broad definition of spiritual practices) can help us stay engaged without burning out. They can help us find the energy to keep going and bring us hope and even joy.
This three-week class explores a wide range of spiritual practices and what they do for us. We will try different practices both together in class and on our own in between classes. We will use our knowledge of the enneagram in general and of our enneagram types to create a personalized list of spiritual practices to use going forward.

This is a great opportunity to learn big things and ask scary questions – in a welcoming, supportive and fun environment.

Enneagram in the Time of Pandemic
Created for people who are familiar with the enneagram and know what type they are.
The Covid-19 pandemic and the various disruptions and changes have thrown us all off balance. But not everyone is reacting in the same way, and sometimes the reactions of people we are staying at home with bump up against our reactions. Sometimes our reactions surprise us. Sometimes they are all too familiar.
We will look at how our type behaviors have been showing up in our current situation. We will explore why our reactions are make perfect sense but also get in our way. We will find the gifts we each can bring to this moment in time. And finally, we will look at how we can work with our type behavior to not just survive, but thrive in this time of pandemic.
NOTE: This class is still in the development stage. The date/ time listed above is an approximate date. Follow NIne Ways Forward, my enneagram Facebook page for updates.
